Class Descriptions
At Balance Yoga we specialize in the practice of yoga, as well as group fitness classes such as mat pilates and step & sculpt, offering a wide variety of class styles designed to support and nurture students of all levels. Whether you’re looking to build strength with dynamic vinyasa flow and sculpt classes or seeking a more gentle, beginner-friendly approach with slow flow, yin, or restorative practices, you’ll find something that meets your needs and goals. Our thoughtfully curated schedule includes both morning and evening classes to fit seamlessly into your day, helping you nurture your body, calm your mind, and find balance on and off the mat.
Vinyasa Flow
Move with breath through a thoughtfully sequenced flow designed to build strength, improve flexibility, and cultivate mindful awareness. This dynamic practice links postures in a fluid, steady rhythm, creating heat in the body while encouraging presence in the mind. Often described as meditation in motion, Vinyasa flow offers an energizing yet grounding experience. Modifications/variations are offered throughout, making the class accessible for all levels. Each session concludes with a restful Savasana, allowing time to integrate the practice before returning to your day. (Offered Sundays 12:30 PM, Mondays 8:30 AM & 5:30 PM, Wednesdays 10 AM, Saturdays 9 AM)
Slow Flow & Restore
Similar to a Vinyasa flow class in that we still connect movement and breath, but with a slower pace. There is more opportunity to hold poses for a longer time and to breathe within the postures. The transitions will also be slower, so fewer poses will be practiced overall. Since more time is spent in each pose, new students will be able to better familiarize themselves with the poses, making this type of class an excellent place to start for those new to vinyasa flow yoga. All levels, beginner friendly. (Offered Tuesdays 10 AM)
Yin Yoga (Stretch & Release)
This slow-paced class focuses on seated and supine postures held for longer periods to gently stretch the body and release built-up tension. With the support of props, Yin Yoga targets the joints, ligaments, and deeper connective tissues while encouraging stillness and mindful breathing. This practice promotes flexibility, patience, and a calm, grounded state of mind. Beginner-friendly and suitable for all levels. (Offered Thursdays at 10 AM)
Pilates Sculpt/Warm Pilates Sculpt
Pilates Sculpt is a dynamic blend of strength training and Pilates designed to challenge your body and energize your mind. This class focuses on core control, muscle toning, and full-body strength while improving balance and stability. Perfect for anyone looking to sweat, sculpt and move with intention (offered Mondays 6:45 PM/ Warm Pilates Sculpt on Thursdays 7 PM)
“Worship” Mat Pilates
This class is designed to honor the body as a vessel and movement as a prayer. Through breath-led strengthening, mobility, and power we create space to release tension, reconnect inward, and move in gratitude. A mat pilates class set to worship music, this class invites you to flow with reverence - strengthening both body and spirit. (Offered Sundays at 8:30 AM)
Step & Sculpt
Step & Sculpt is a full-body workout that compounds aerobic movement with strength training. With engaging choreography and energizing music, this class offers and experience that feels fun, upbeat and immersive, while still delivering a challenging workout. This class is designed to be accessible for all levels, and builds movements in a layered fashion throughout the class. (offered Tuesday/Thursdays at 8:30 AM)
Sunrise Yoga
For the Early Birds, this class will set the tone for your whole day! Beginning with breath/centering/intention setting and a slow warm up, this slow flow vinyasa style class builds through standing & balance poses, to seated poses, and finishes with relaxation. Modifications offered for all levels (Offered Thursdays 6 AM)
Yoga Sculpt
A high-energy blend of vinyasa flow, power yoga, and strength training designed for a full-body workout. After a brief warm-up, you’ll move through a fast-paced sequence with the option to add light hand weights and resistance bands to build strength and elevate your heart rate. Expect to sweat, feel the burn, and finish with a relaxing cooldown so you leave feeling strong, energized and refreshed. (Offered Wednesdays 5:30 PM)
Flow & Stretch
Find your flow in Flow & Stretch, a class designed to uplift and restore. Move through a dynamic vinyasa sequence to build strength, enhance flexibility, and connect with your breath, then finish with grounding, longer-held Yin poses and a soothing relaxation to leave you feeling balanced and refreshed. All levels welcome, beginner friendly. (Offered Thursdays 5:30 PM)
Warm Vinyasa
Flow through yoga postures with coordinated and guided breath in this dynamic, energizing practice designed to build strength, endurance, and flexibility. The room is set to a comfortably warm 80-85 degrees, helping to relax muscles, enhance flexibility, and promote gentle detoxification through a healthy sweat. You’ll move through a robust series of poses and sequences with options for all levels - beginners are encouraged to listen to their bodies and pace themselves. Each class concludes with a grounding savasana to leave you feeling light, refreshed, and ready for the rest of your day. (Offered Tuesdays 5:30 PM) Note: Thursdays at 7 PM is also a heated class- Warm Pilates Sculpt
Vinyasa Spice
Just like it sounds…a vinyasa flow class, but with a little extra spice! The “spice” level will be a little more than in our regular flow class, but always with modifications to still make this class accessible for all. Mat Pilates and core strengthening drills will be incorporated, as will some time to stretch, rest and reset as the class winds down (Offered Fridays 8:30 AM)
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing practice designed to calm the nervous system and encourage full-body renewal. Using supportive props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks, poses are held for several minutes to allow the body to release tension and settle into ease. This gentle, slow-paced class invites you to soften, breathe deeply, and restore both mind and body. Suitable for all levels, and beginner friendly, it’s the perfect complement to a busy lifestyle or more active yoga practices. (Offered Sundays at 4:30 PM)
Gentle Candlelight Yoga
Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and find serenity in this gentle candlelight yoga practice. Slow down, tune in, and let go of stress as you flow through a series of calming poses. This class is designed to calm the mind, relax the body, and nourish the soul. Enjoy gentle moments to warm the body to ease into relaxation. All levels, beginner friendly. Enjoy the transformative power of mindful movement. (Offered Wednesdays 6:45 PM)
