“…Just enjoy yourself. For many years I mistook discipline as ambition. Now I believe it to be more about consistency. Do get on the mat. Practice and life are not that different.”

Meet our Team

Amy McGuire, Owner/Instructor
Vinyasa, Sculpt, Flow&Stretch, Sunrise

Amy McGuire

Welcome to Balance Yoga & Lifestyle! I’m so grateful to provide a space where our community can begin, or deepen, their yoga journey.

My own path started in the fitness world, but everything changed when I took my first vinyasa yoga class - I was hooked. It offered the movement and strength I loved, but also brought unexpected benefits: less stress, more calm, and a deeper sense of balance.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga in 2015, and have since earned certifications in Yin, Mindfulness, Children’s yoga, and Reiki healing. With years of experience teaching, I hold an E-RYT 200 designation and am a certified continuing education provide through Yoga Alliance.

Thank you for being here. I hope Balance becomes your home away from home, and your favorite place to practice, grow, and connect. Together, let’s continue to grow in our practice and cultivate a vibrant, supportive yoga community here in Bay County.

Vinyasa Monday 5:30 PM & Weds 10 AM, Sculpt Weds 5:30 PM, Sunrise Yoga 6 AM, Flow & Stretch Thurs 5:30 PM, alternating Vinyasa Saturdays 9 AM

Tonya Nye

Tonya began by practicing yoga in her home six years ago, after moving from Michigan to Panama City Beach. She took her first studio class in Panama City at One Heart Yoga. After developing a consistent practice there for several years, Tonya had a desire to share the sense of self that she had personally gained through her practice, and she made the decision to further her journey by completing her 200 hour yoga teacher training locally in 2020. Her path came full circle as she then began teaching at One Heart Yoga, and later, at other locations around the Panama City area.

Tonya says, “It has been an absolute blessing to lead in a community that I have grown to love, supporting students as they navigate their own personal journeys to wellness.”

You can join Tonya for “Vinyasa Spice” on Friday mornings at 8:30 AM and Fusion Mat Pilates on Fridays at 10 AM.
